Architecture combines both art and science into one discipline. Our goal is to bring the science back to the forefront of building design. We do this to not only benefit the environment, but to also help our client’s bottom line. Our specialties include Passivehouse design, LEED certification, solar PV consultation, verification, infrared thermography, and building air-tightness testing.
By harnessing these areas of expertise, we aim to lead by example. Our corporate office is constantly being modified, tested, and examined to pick best-of-class materials and systems. Using this approach of working within a ‘living laboratory,’ we’re proud to announce we’ve cut lighting costs by 90%, water consumption by 95%, utility bills by 50% and generate 25% of our electricity on-site via rooftop solar PV. Most impressive of all is that our simple return-on-investment on our improvements range between 6 months and 8 years.
When it comes to sustainable architecture and building science, we not only implement the design and testing, but also work with our clients to craft the business case to implement less environmentally impactful systems and buildings.
